Antibiotics in our vegtables?!

I recieved this from my yahoo garden group....just copy and paste the link below to read it in its entirety.
http://lists.unc.edu/read/messages?id=4937529
Summed up it says that:
1) 70% of all antibiotics produced in the USA is fed to animals;
2) 25 MILLION pounds per year are fed to HEALTHY animals;
3) powerful antibiotics not approved for human consumption are given
to animals;
4) large amounts of these antibiotics are in the animal manures;
5) treating manure with high temperatures does not remove antibiotics;
6) vegetables absorb the antibiotics.

The end result is that WE are ingesting large quantities of powerful
antibiotics.

I recommend the article for your education on this important topic.

Still needs those little details

I finally got around to making my winter scrapframe, but I'm waiting for my Stampin Up felt snowflakes, that I was hoping would arrive by this weekend but they wont be here until next week!:( boohoo. anyways I'm going to put them on the brown squares when they come I will finish it and post the new pic!
I added a playlist to my blog now I can listen to my favorite music from my blog even while I'm on other sites. I'm so happy! I owe it to Katie the Scrapbooking Lady's blog she had a piece on her blog that told how to do it! She has a nice blog if you want to check it out here is the link just copy and paste into your browser.

Anyways, Here is some pictures!

I know this is a strange picture but Queenie prove to me today that she is NOT the sharped tac in the box! Scott bought the litter maid (a cat box that cleans itself! woohoo!) Anyways after watching from a distance as he put it together she approached ever so carefully. It took her 5-6 minutes just to get to the point in the picture. She kept sticking her paw in the cat litter and pulling it out quickly!

She did eventually get in it but kept going round and round in circles and jumping around. It was so funny!...sorry you'd probly have to be there to enjoy it as much as we did!

Stamp "Happy" in Riding Hood Red ink over background image.
Stamp flower image in Riding Hood Red ink on Naturals Ivory card stock (1-1/2" x 1-1/2"), and cut out. Adhere to Naturals Ivory card stock over background image. Attach Styled Silver brad to center of flower.
Adhere Naturals Ivory card stock behind designer label holder.
Cover Naturals Ivory card stock with Crystal Effects and Micro beads. Allow to dry.
Slide pearl, crystal beads, felt flower, and filigree piece onto jewelry wire, and loop jewelry wire through bottom end of label holder. Twist wire end to secure.
Tie Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon through top end of label holder, then slide label holder onto bead chain. Slide filigree piece onto bead chain.

To Create Card:

To create inside pocket, punch notch in top of Chocolate Chip textured card stock (2" x 2") using 1/2" Circle punch. Adhere side and bottom edges of card stock inside front of Riding Hood Red card.
Sand edges of Bella Rose Designer Series paper, and adhere to Riding Hood Red card.
Punch holes in card approximately 1" from top of card at 1" and 3-1/8" from left edge using 1/4" Circle punch. Feed necklace chain through holes, and close clasp. Tuck chain inside pocket.
Stamp Fresh Cuts background image in Chocolate Chip ink on Naturals Ivory card stock (3-3/8" x 3-1/8"), and sponge Chocolate Chip ink around edges of card stock. Adhere to Chocolate Chip textured card stock (3-1/2" x 3-1/4"). Sew around edges.
Punch holes through all card stock layers 1/2" from top of card stock at 3/4" and 2-3/4" from left edge using 1/8" Circle punch. Cut slits from top of card stock to holes.
Stamp "For you" in Chocolate Chip ink on Kraft card stock, and punch out using Round Tab punch. Fold tab in half, and adhere to back side of Chocolate Chip textured card stock so greeting shows.
Adhere piece to card using Stampin' Dimensionals, lining up holes in piece with holes in card. Slide necklace chain through slits so chain feeds through holes in piece as well as holes in card.
Secure necklace to card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Be sure to place the Dimensionals beneath metal portions of necklace to aid in removal of necklace from card. To further secure, tie loose chain together inside card using linen thread.

What I've been doing all week....

The kids have been sick all week (except Bailey) Scott started it last week and then Micah got it Friday, Maddi on Sunday and some where in the mix I got it too! Ethan on the other hand has "the fifth disease" He'll tell you I have a rash, head to toe" and all he does is itch. The best part is we know no one who has it so we are clueless where he got it from! Anyways besides DR. appts we really havent done to much this week! Well Scott did go back to work on Wed. so there is and happy moment this week, and yes I miss him already. With the below zero temps he has done nothing but unthaw pipes he got home after 7pm last night and the neighbor called to say her pipes were frozen and this morning my sister called to say her pipes broke (he's a plumber by the way) and also another neighbor called this morning for him too. Plus work called him in cuz they are so buisy. So he is making up for lost time. Anyways thats my week in a nutshell! Off to clean up the kitchen, Fun, Fun!

Well I thought I would let everyone know some bitter sweet news no its not life altering but it is important to me....I have completely mixed emotions about it. I went into pending this last week with my SU demonstratorship. which means I didn't meet my minimum (by $46) I couldn't justify spending money on stamps instead of Christmas for my kids and family. If you've read my blog you know my hubby isn't working because of a car accident. I have until the end of January to sell $146, not gonna happen. I called Stampin Up! and they said I can ask for a one time extention which will give me until the end of Feburary but I will have to come up with the full $300 worth of sales or my demonstratorship will be terminated. I have been a demonstrator for over 3.5yrs so I am pretty bumming, but I said bitter sweet because i have wanted to really focus on my scrapbooking and losing this will let me do that. I'm even thinking of signing up as a Creative Memories Consultant (sells scrapbooking stuff for those who don't know) They are having a sale soon that you can sign up for only $70! So we'll see. God always has a reason for things, right?
Hello everyone,
I have such an absolutly HUGE headache! It was little yesterday and it has just been building everytime I think it can't get any bigger it does. Tylenol is not touching it. So next I'll try Ibprofin (is that how its spelled?) anyways, basically I'm not feeling so hot and even though its after 9pm the kids still seem to have endless energy! I finished my scrapbook page for my challenge today so I came to post it! I hate the pics of me but I have learned to just accept those types of pics and use them anyways (otherwise there would never be any pics of me in my scrapbooks!) So drum roll please............J/K

It kinda looks more like a Feburary page cuz of the colors and the heart but its not and I love these colors together. What do u think?

just waiting for the weather

This is a drawing from Maddi. I get to look at it and remember how lucky I am to have my sweet children everytime I walk into my scrapbook where it hangs on the door. I am signed up with one of my yahoo groups to take pictures everyday (or almost everyday) and then scrap them once a week for the whole year. They dont have to be special occassions just everyday stuff... this is one of my everyday pics.

The weather is yucky so Im just waiting for th weather hold on its on... I hate that the school waits until 5 in the morning to call and say school is cancelled or delayed. I dont know what the roads are like right now, but Scott said they were slick when he went out earlier. I've been hearing the ice hitting the roof So heaven knows if they will have school or not and if they do if the bus will be able to make it up the hill! I dont envy our bus driver! Anyways I'm so tired but I want to post at least one pic tonight so hear it is. Later

who's the King now?

I am so tired I need to quit posting and go to bed! But I just loved this picture. Ethan and daddy have regular "fights" Ethan usually wins.

Maddi's blue hair

Maddi got a Bratz hair dye kit from Aunt Holly It dyes the dolls hair and hers. She is such a girly girl. Thank heavens it rinsed out in one wash, school doesnt let them have any unnatural hair colors. (can we say pain in the butt?)
